Ardrossan care group stunned by funding cut
26 Feb 2010An Ardrossan-based care service has been hit by a devastating funding blow, having learned that they are to lose 90 per cent of their funding in cuts announced by North Ayrshire Council.
Just six weeks before the new financial year Ardrossan-based Care Partners were stunned to learn that £207,000 of funding from North Ayrshire Council's children and families budget is being withdrawn. project director Julie Gibb said.
Care Partners have been providing befriending and groupwork services to children and adults with disabilities in North Ayrshire for 16 years.
