Head of James McFarlane School says farewell

The long-standing head teacher of James McFarlane School in Ardrossan has said farewell to the school, as Anne McGrattan retired from her post after 22 years at the school.

Anne (55) first joined the school in 1988 when it was still based in Saltcoats, moving with the school when it came to Ardrossan a year later. She became head teacher at the school in 2004.

She was given a fitting send-off by staff and pupils at the school - all of whom were sorry to see her go!
