North Ayrshire Council have said that there are no current plans to close Whitlees Community Centre, moving to allay fears that the venue could be a victim of cuts.

29/1/2010Pupils back Haiti appeal with ribbon sales
Ardrossan Academy's charities committee have been backing the Haiti disaster relief appeal by selling ribbon badges to raise money for the fund.
And by Friday 29th January, the appeal had already raised £342.
The ribbons are in the colours of the Haitian flag and can be bought for a minimum donation of £1. Pupils have been buying the ribbons during registration from 6th Year pupils, from the library, and from Mrs MacPherson in the Computing Department.
