North Ayrshire Council have said that there are no current plans to close Whitlees Community Centre, moving to allay fears that the venue could be a victim of cuts.

Ardrossan and Saltcoats Rotary Club members discussed business matters at this week's meeting
Last week's meeting of Ardrossan and Saltcoats Rotary Clubwas devoted entirely to business matters.
Arrangements for the Burns Supper in the Lauriston Hotel were finalised. The principal speakers are Iain Doole (Immortal Memory), Robert Ferguson (Toast to The Lasses) and Rev. Fiona Ross (Reply).
The Haiti Eathquake Appeal was also discussed and, as an initial contribution, it was decided to purchase a Shelter Box from the club's Charity Fund (£500). It was also decided unanimously to devote the proceeds from the Annual Race Night later this month to this very worthy cause.
