Wheelchair users blocked from pensioners' summer trip

According to the Ardrossan and Saltcoats Herald, wheelchair-bound pensioners won't be able to go on the Ardrossan Older People's Welfare Committee's summer trip this year.

The paper says this is the second year in a row that wheelchair-bound Elizabeth Garland won't be able to join the trip - because Council funding is too low to allow the committee to hire a bus with wheelchair access.
